PURPOSE: To make it possible to guide the position and/or the speed of a vehicle and simultaneously, to obtain a correct guiding in the lateral direction especially needed for a public transport vehicle by making a magnetic field generating means so as to be constituted of a waveguide connected to the electromagnetic radiation generator having a specific frequency in order to measure the deviation in the lateral direction with respect to the central line of a roadway. CONSTITUTION: A waveguide 1 is buried under the central line of a roadway for running of vehicles and coils 2, 3 provided with magnetic cores 4, 5 are vertically mounted on a vehicle passing over the roadway to be tuned to the radiation frequency (which is relatively low) to be generated from the waveguide 1. One end of the waveguide 1 is connected to the sine wave generator having frequencies 1-100kHz radiating electric power by a connection and the other end of the waveguide 1 is connected to a return line, which forms an extremely relaxed loop so that electric power is not radiated from the loop. Thus, the deviation of the axial line of the vehicle with respect to the central line of the roadway is detected by measuring induced voltages of terminals of the coils.
