Equipment for detaching/cutting leaves previously cut from tobacco plant stalks and conveying them individually or in groups to different collecting containers depending on how high the leaves are located on the stalk
Equipment for detaching/cutting leaves previously cut from tobacco plant stalks and conveying them individually or in groups to different collecting containers depending on how high the leaves are located on the stalk
Mechanised harvesting of tobacco leaves may in principle be done by cutting the stalk from the plant and then detaching or cutting the leaves off or detaching/cutting the leaves directly from the plant without cutting off the stalk. In both cases it is considered important to keep apart the leaves or groups of leaves located at different heights on the stalk in relation to differences in cultivation and marketing depending on the height on the stalk. Machines for harvesting tobacco leaves that have so far been designed work on cultivation technology principles and apparatus for detaching/cutting leaves that do not involve prior cutting of the stalk and do not select and convey the harvested leaves to separate containers depending on the height of the leaves on the stalk. The equipment referred to in this patent was designed and is mainly seen as a fundamental part of machines for mechanised harvesting of tobacco leaves, operating in sequence by cutting the stalk, detaching/cutting the leaves from the stalk and conveying the leaves or groups of leaves originally located at different heights on the stalk to different collecting containers and doing this in the framework of concepts of cultivation techniques that can anticipate modification of current practices, even if it is not a necessity.IMAGE
