Gum roller (60) passes through adhesive in the reservoir and carries a portion of the adhesive from the reservoir. Metering roller (58) rotates in the same direction as the gum roller and skids across the gum roller surface returning excess adhesive to the reservoir. Wiper roller (62) rotates in the same direction as the gum roller and transfers adhesive from the gum roller to the gumming cylinder (64).
