The continuous emptying system for silos containing flowable loose materials comprises a movable conveyor unit which can be turned, raised and lowered about a central pivot mounted in the silo and has a screw conveyor extending radially from the pivot to the silo wall. Discharge means in the form of a suction pipe (7) discharges the loose material brought from the surface through screw conveyor. The suction pipe has one opening attached to the suction side of a conveyor pump (P) whilst its suction opening which ends in the area of the screw conveyor is vertically adjustable. The suction pipe pref. has a telescopic suction nozzle whose end is fixed to the extension arm (5) which supports the screw conveyor. USE/ADVANTAGE - The discharge unit is set above the surface of the loose material so that it is accessible at any time ensuring reliable trouble-free discharge.
