In agricultural and food industry we have to store granulous materials (for example grain crops, animal nutrients, silage, fertilizers, etc.) in a lot of cases when it is required by technology. Silos are widespread solutions for this purpose. Features of storing granulous materials in silos are similar to that of fluids. The general goal of this paper is to analyze the attributes of granulous materials during emptying them from silos. This study examines the field of granulous materials where the arching phenomenon is the most probable and this is most characteristic in the case of hard flowing materials. Hard flowing materials mean granulous materials with cohesion.
