A hollow explosive charge has a main charge (3) enclosed in a cylindrical housing (2). The front end of this housing has a conical recess which is provided with a covering layer (4). A hollow body (10) is attached to the apex of the conical recess. This hollow body is formed from three frusta of cones which intersect each other. This hollow body contains the ignition material (15) which is detonated by the detonator (6). The shape of the hollow body reflects the shock waves generated by detonation in such a manner that the effectiveness of the explosion of the main charge is increased. USE - Hollow explosive charges.
