Desulphurisation of flue gas from steam boiler with dust or grate fire - by spraying with e.g. limestone or callicium hydroxide suspension under pressure
Desulphurisation of flue gas (I) for steam boilers with dust and/or grate firing involves spraying a suspension (II) of S0x-binding substances, eg limestone and Ca(0H)2, into hot (I) at 400-1000 deg C in the open space of dust-fired boilers or the steam boiler of grate fires, using conventional pumps and spray systems. USE/ADVANTAGE - The additives are used better and the deg of desulphurisation is higher than in the usual 'dry desulphurisation process' and it is not necessary to use the special scrubbers or reactors used for wet scrubbing or semi-dry spray absorption processes.
