The fuse includes an electrically insulating housing which, together with two contact bodies-with which the two ends of fusible wire are conductively connected-forms two plug-in connection devices. The housing is designed as a sleeve (1) or casing for exchangeable accommodation of a fuse cartridge (13). The latter includes an electrically insulating cartridge body (14) on the outer wall surface of which a helix or spiral of fuse wire is made. The cartridge body is fitted at both end-faces with a contact washer. ADVANTAGE - Provides monitoring or testing of slate of fuse wire.
