The drive uses 2 synchronous electric motors (1,2) each driving a cogwheel engaging a linear rack, the rotation controlled via a single regulator (3), allowing the motors (1,2) to be used individually or in parallel. The regulator (3) uses the actual motor data when a single motor (1,2) is operated and uses data relating to a substitution motor with reduced network values and a reduced magnetic flux relative to the individual motors (1,2). Pref. the conduction of each motor (1,2) is detected in auxiliary contacts (15,16) of the ON-OFF switches (9,10) for the motors (1,2). ADVANTAGE - Prevents motor overload.
