The video recording system has an optical lens (1) and an associated electronic control fitted adjacent the vehicle rear view mirror, mounted at the centre of the front windscreen. The optical lens (1) can pivot and tip and is coupled, together with the electronic control, to the remainder of the video recording system housed within the vehicle. Pref. the optical lens (1) is adjusted via a wing mirror setting motor and an associated control switch. The remainder of the video recording system may be housed in the boot. USE - For providing video record of motoring offence.
