The transmission has a double clutch (A, B) on the input side of the gearbox, with the two clutches ooperating in overlap to change gear under full load. The synchromesh on each gear is operated from the output shaft (15) and operates on all gears during gearchange. This allows gearcahnge between any two ratios, without having to switch through the gear range. The synchromesh action is moved to higher speeds when the system is braking or accelerating, providing more control. An electronic processor controls the gearchanges using programmed values and linked ot the transmission by sensors. ADVANTAGE - Improved gearchange, cna change between any two gears.
