For in-vitro cultivation of living material (9), e.g., cells, organ fragments, etc., for pharmaceutical, medical and biotechnical applications, a continuous flow appts., a culture vessel receives the material together with nutrient soln. and gas. A reservoir of nutrient is provided and supplies soln. via a line which combines with the gas line, with a controller for discrete nutrient addn. and a gas regulator. The soln. level in the vessel is controlled, with at least one outlet to a collecting vessel. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple arrangement, e.g., for interaction of living material and, e.g., hormones.
