In order to obtain a reinforcement texture essentially made of ceramic fibers based on silicon compound, in order to produce a composite material, the line of the fibers from a precursor of the ceramic to the molten state, the fibers are subjected to a treatment of partial crosslinking to make them, infusible, the crosslinking of the fibers in a precursor in the infusible state, while retaining them in the organic state, the fibers are crosslinked at one or several textile operations, such as weaving, napping, needling,.., to form the multidirectional texture and the texture is then subjected to a heat treatment of pyrolysis to cause the ceramic processing of the fibers in order to obtain the desired texture essentially made of ceramic fibers based on silicon compound, in particular based on silicon carbide.
