An extruder outlet element for strands of synthetic material to be granulated has an annular distributor channel (19) at an entry end, a cutting plate (7) penetrated by strand exit nozzles (8, 8'), and feed channels (9, 10) connecting the nozzles with the distributor channel (19). For improvement of the melt flow in the inlet region, the distributor channel (19) in radial extent has a cross-sectional width which is smaller than the radial range of extent of the feed channels (9, 10), which open out individually from the distributor channel (19) and the neighbouring longitudinal axes of which are arranged at an angle of inclination relative to each other.
