PURPOSE:To easily synthesize high pressure-phase boron nitride by allowing an explosive composition containing an explosive and low pressure-phase boron nitride to explode in water. CONSTITUTION:The explosive composition consists of an explosive such as TNT, HMX, etc., and low pressure-phase boron nitride such as hexagonal boron nitride. This composition is made to explode in water at the depth where the objective reaction product cannot scatter outside. Then a high pressure-phase boron nitride is obtained in water by this in-water explosion. Since the reaction product has large density than water, it easily precipitates. Thereby, apparatus such as the container can be repeatedly used and the objective product can be collected continuously at one time.
