CONSTITUTION:The video, sound, and every kind of information required for automatic summarization attached on every kind of video stored in an external video and information memory device 3 are positioned setting reference time obtained mechanically or a time equivalent to the reference time as reference. A scene(video scene) that becomes important in the video is extracted and edited as being displayed on a display device 2 by the operation of an input device 1, and summary edit fitted in the taste of a viewer can be performed by a controller 5.
