PROFILING MECHANISM OF DEVICE FOR SLITTING STEEL SHEET PILE

PURPOSE:To easily form slits of arbitrary widths on steel sheet piles with mechanical operations by calculating the displacement in the marking-off line and reference line on a picked up image by a controller and moving a moving pedestal in the diametral direction of the steel sheet piles in accordance with the calculated data. CONSTITUTION:The image of the surface to be cut of the connecting part picked up by the television camera 72 is displayed on the screen of a monitor 74. The reference line is previously set and displayed as the line to indicate the position of torches 61 on the screen of the monitor 74. The displacement on the monitor screen between the reference line and the marking-off line is calculated as numerical data by a controller 73 and the calculated numerical data is transmitted to the control circuit of a motor for driving forward and backward to drive the motor for driving forward and backward so as to move the moving pedestal 52 by a prescribed amt. in the diametral direction of the connecting part, by which the position of the torches 61 are so adjusted as to profile the marking-off line.
