PROCESSING OF KNITTED AND WOVEN CLOTH HAVING SLIGHT WET FEELING

PURPOSE:To obtain a knitted and woven cloth having an only slight wet feeling in rear face of the cloth attaching to skin by printing emulsion containing water-repelling agent on a face of the knitted and woven cloth comprising a fiber absorbing and/or diffusing water and forming a non-water repelling part smaller than a specific area. CONSTITUTION:An organic solvent (e.g. mineral turpentine) is added to an aqueous solution containing an emulsifier and the resultant emulsion is mixed with a water-repelling agent such as fluorine compound. Then the resultant mixed emulsion is printed on a face of a knitted and woven cloth composed of fiber absorbing and/or diffusing water on the surface of the fiber (e.g. cotton or de-scaled wool), and dried to form a non-water repelling part shaped as lattice-like 1, linear 2 or circular 3, etc., having a controlled breadth or diameter of =1mm to afford the objective knitted and woven cloth inducing only a least wet feeling in the rear face of the cloth attaching to skin even when generating a large amount of sweat.
