PURPOSE:To keep the maximum required thermal load carried by respective burners small and reduce noises by burning both gun type burners simultaneously in the case in which a required thermal load larger than a certain value is required and controlling the sum of the thermal loads of both burners so as to reach a specified required thermal load. CONSTITUTION:The method of combustion control is to carry out intermittent combustion in the case in which a required thermal load is under a certain value and to carry out proportional combustion when it is larger than the certain value. And, since the proportional combustion burner system A of a kerosene type hot water maker is provided with a plurality of gun type burners G1, G2, it is possible to effect proportional combustion control and intermittent combustion control with a large TDR by a combustion of G1 and G2. If a required thermal load is over 20000kCal/h, a solenoid valve D3 is opened and the burner G2 is burned constantly and the burner G1 is burned intermittently. By the way in this case in order to prevent the oil from flowing back to a returning type pressurized spraying nozzle N1 a solenoid valve D2 is operated ON or OFF. When a required thermal load is over 24000kCal/h, the solenoid valve D3 is opened and the burner G2 is burned constantly and the burner G1 is burned proportionally. In this case both solenoid valves D1 and D2 are opened and proportional combustion control is conducted.
