PURPOSE:To protect a heater, a motor, and a fan of an electric 'KOTATSU' (a foot warmer) from being directly hit by something projected through a guard screen, by mounting a motor on the upper surface of a support board, by pivotally supporting a fan on the motor shaft projecting from the top of a motor, and by disposing a heater between the fan and the support board, while by forming a discharge opening to discharge hot air on the support board. CONSTITUTION:A motor 9 is fixed on the surface of a horizontally fit assembly 8. It drives a fan 10 which is pivotally supported by a shaft 30 projecting from the top of a motor. Bar type heaters 11, 11, having built-in heater wires in them, are inserted in the ceramic pipes which are juxtaposedly fixed on the back surface of an air guide board 5, centering the fan 10. A discharge opening 31 to discharge hot air is provided between neighboring fitting pieces 7a and 7b respectively. These fitting pieces fix the heaters on the air guide board 5. A support board 6 being fixed on the air guide board 5 is composed in such a manner that is covers the motor 9, the fan 10 and the heaters 11, 1 from underside. It can protect these parts from being directly hit by some alien matter such as a bar coming in to these parts through a guard screen 12.
