PURPOSE:To make it high in collapsing pressure and possible for lightweightiness and reduction in manufacturing cost as well as to enable it to be safely used by making the shell plate of a cylindrical barrel of an external pressure-proofing cylindrical shell to be used in the underwater or the like, where depth is large enough, so as to be projectingly bulged outward between both ring reinforced members separating. CONSTITUTION:An external pressure-proofing cylindrical shell 1 receiving uniform pressure P from the outside has a cylindrical barrel 4 and each end plate 3 at both ends, and the shell plate of the cylindrical barrel 4 is projectingly bulged outward as expandedly shown in an A part, between frames 2 at a constant interval mutually in direction of the central line of the external pressure-proofing cylindrical shell 1. With this constitution, collapsing force is increased, as compared with the case that a shell plate part of the barrel 4 is a simple cylindrical form, such an external pressure-proofing cylindrical shell as in structure high in pressure-proof strength is made manufacturable in spite of using the same quantity of materials, thus this external pressure- proofing cylindrical shell 1 can be yet more safely used. Therefore diving can be done up to the depth of water.
