Stripping paper, which serves as a member for protecting the adhesive of an adhesive sheet, is capable of being recycled and effectively used as a material of regenerated paper after stripped when the adhesive sheet is used, and permits application of beautiful printing thereon, as well as to provide an adhesive sheet having stripping paper attached thereto and exhibiting new additional printing effects. In stripping paper having silicone cover (13) applied to the substratum layer (10) thereof through a mineral coating material layer (12), the substratum layer (10) is made of relatively long fibrous paper materials as with usual coated paper and the coating material layer (12) imparts smoothness to the surface of the substratum layer (10) for printing to be applied thereon and also comprises a layer of relatively fine mineral particles (11) for substantially preventing the substratum layer (10) from being impregnated with silicone (13a).
