ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREAn apparatus for electrolytic surface treatment of goodscomprises a tank for the acceptance of a treatment bath, anarrangement for contacting the goods with one pole of anelectrical source, at least one electrode arranged in thetreatment bath having an opposite polarity to the polarity of theone pole which is contacting the goods being treated, a vibratoryconveyor having a helically ascending conveyor track fortransporting the goods through the tank, characterized by theelectrode being a helically shaped electrode being positioned tobe equally spaced from the surface of the conveyor track. Theapparatus is particularly useful for the electro-deposition ofaluminum from aprotic, oxygen-free and water-free, aluminum-organic electrolyte.
