DRINKS MACHINE FOR PREPARING HOT WATER FOR INFUSIONS, IN PARTICULAR COFFEE OR TEA

A drinks machine (1) has a storage tank (2) situated above an equalization tank (9) in which a water filter (8) is inserted and which is connected through the outlet opening (18) to the storage tank (2). The equalization tank (9) is connected to the atmosphere through a vent pipe (12) so that water (6) cannot escape from the equalization tank (9) to the atmosphere but can always move toward the flow heater (3). The volume of the equalization tank (9) is large enough for the tank to contain at least the quantity of water delivered by the flow heater (3) during its transport phase. The water filter (8) allows a flow rate such that the quantity of water which flows out of the storage tank (2) into the equalization tank (9) during the time interval consisting of the transport phase and the heating phase is at least equal to that delivered to the infusion unit (4) by the flow heater (3) during its transport phase. The throughput of the flow heater in function of the heat output is virtually exactly the same as that when no water filter is used in the drinks machine (1).
