The invention relates to a photosensitive colour-photographic silver halide material with a photographic silver iodide/bromide emulsion layer. The photographic silver iodide/bromide emulsion layer contains at least one compound of the general formula I IMAGE and at least one compound of the general formula II IMAGE in which the radicals are defined as indicated in the claims. On the surface of the silver iodide/bromide grains having the low iodide content in the surface of the photographic emulsion, 10-7 to 10-3 mol of iodide ions per mol of silver halide are absorbed. The silver iodide/bromide emulsion is spectrally sensitised in the red region without impairing the other properties of the emulsion.
