A flexible pipeline for transporting liquid or gaseous media is described which consists of two pipes (5, 6) arranged concentrically to one another, the space (12) between the pipes (5, 6) being subjected to a pressure deviating from standard pressure and being constantly monitored by means of a monitoring device. Both the inner pipe (5) and the outer pipe (6) consist of a thermoplastic and are held at a distance from one another by appropriate spacers (11) to form an annular space (12). The annular space is sealed both outwardly and inwardly in a gas diffusion-tight manner by a metal foil (2, 8) which is adhesively bonded to the inner (5) or outer pipe (6) respectively. IMAGE
