A roadway support machine with heavy-duty beam, a parallel linkage arranged on it, and a working platform allocated to this parallel linkage and a support-setting device can also be moved around bends with a narrow curve radius of up to 7.5 m reliably and without being lowered by the front section of the multi-piece heavy-duty beam being of articulated design and being attached in turn to a short beam which is carried by two trolleys. At least the articulation points of the front section as well as the rear articulation point of the heavy-duty beam are provided with a pivot lug in order to thus give the entire heavy-duty beam the necessary articulated capacity. The joint allocated to the front section is formed by a pin which at the same time serves to attach the rear section of the heavy-duty beam and which is designed and arranged in such a way that the centre supporting trolley is held in the centre line of the heavy-duty beam. Consequently, disadvantageous tilting moments which could endanger the roadway support machine cannot occur. IMAGE
