A method of ozone treatment of swimming bath water together with chlorination is as follows. Raw water recycled from the swimming bath passes through a filter and a portion is then branched off via a loop. For each 100 m3/h. in the main flow, the branch flow is up to 5 (1.7) m3/h.; into this 1-1.2 g/h ozone in approx. 700 l/h air is injected, the fluids then being thoroughly mixed (in spiral tube) to produce an aerosol state, which is then injected directly back into the mainstream of raw water, without any venting of the piping system; chlorine is injected and the liquid is returned to the bath. More specifically, the max. proportion is 1.2 g. of ozone to 700 l. of air. The raw water circuit has a bypass with accelerator pump, ozonisator downstream of the pump with max. ozone prodn. rate of 1.2 g/h per 700 l/h atmospheric air, followed by a spiral tube as turbulence chamber esp. of internal dia. 1.9-2.8 cm. and pipe length 6-10 m in three turns in a vertical plane of oval form approx. 1.5 m high or alternatively a rectangular spiral of 2 vertical planes of 1.25 m. high and 1 m. width.
