Floor for multi-storey building - is formed from panels of reinforced concrete supported on load-bearing framework

An upper floor (1) of a multi-storey building is formed on site from large panels made of reinforced concrete. A load bearing framework of beams (3) is placed on these large panels. Smaller panels (4) are then placed side by side and fixed to the frame-work. These smaller panels (4) have cores (4a, 4b) made of reinforced concrete and an outer layer of a material (4c) which is suitable for forming a floor. The smaller panels are then covered with an elastic wear resistant floor covering. The joints between the smaller panels are filled with a material so that a sideways pressure is exerted on the panels. USE - Floors for multi-storey buildings.
