An acrylic-based spray adhesive for textile fabrics is claimed (I), contg. a copolymer based on methacrylic acid and/or derivs. thereof (II), a cyanoacrylate deriv. or an acrylate ester copolymer. Pref., (I) contains 5-20 wt.% copolymer (II), 5-12 wt.% alkyl acetate and opt. 8-15 wt.% organic solvent, and is applied from a container with a propellant gas. Pref., (I) contains 6.75-8 wt.% MMA/BuMA copolymer, 7-9.85 wt.% MeOAa, EtOAc, PrOAc or BuOAc, and opt. 10-40 wt.% volatile, compatible solvent, esp. CH2Cl2; the spray container can be operated with a mechanical atomiser or a propellant gas, pref. propane, butane or CO2. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) is useful for repairing damaged articles of clothing (claimed). In partic., (I) is useful for the rapid repair of nylon hosiery, etc. to prevent further laddering; it is easy to apply and keeps well, and forms a transparent, invisible film which is highly elastic, water-resistant, impermeable to air and non-irritant to the skin.
