The frame system comprises plates and corner connectors. Each two individual frames (1) are detachably connectable with the outsides (9) of their arms (5) remote from the plates or pictures wherein the outsides (9) are formed from two faces (10) at angles, preferably right angles, to each other. - The corner connectors (3) can have two push-on arms (2) at angles to each other whereby the hollow section (4) frame arms (5) can be fitted telescopically on to the push-on arms.
