The invention proposes an anti-lock system for two-axle all-wheel driven vehicles with two axle differentials (1, 2) and one lockable central differential (3). The system has an electronic unit (4) with four-channel individual control which, from the signals of wheel sensors (RS), calculates control signals for solenoid valves (MV). If one of the control channels malfunctions and the central differential (3) is not locked, the electronic unit (4) switches off only the malfunctioning control channel. However, if one of the control channels is malfunctioning and the central differential (3) is locked, the electronic unit (4) also switches off the diagonally opposite intact control channel. This measure prevents an instability of the vehicle due to a malfunction of one control channel during a controlled braking operation.
