The invention relates to an all-wheel drive system (12) for a motor vehicle (10), comprising a first electric machine (14) for driving a first drive axle (16) of the motor vehicle (10); a first power electronics (18) for controlling a rotational speed of the first electric machine (14); a second electric machine (20) for driving a second drive axle (22) of the motor vehicle (10); a second power electronics (24) for controlling the rotational speed of the second electric machine (20) in dependence on a rotational speed of the first electric machine (14) and a predetermined differential rotational speed between the first electric machine (14) and the second electric machine (20).
