The brake line (45) to the driven-wheel brakes (48, 49) is pumped (56) at high pressure with fluid from a reservoir (75) whose piston (78) is opposed by a helical spring (80). A reversible electric motor (83) with rack-and- pinion transmission (81, 82) moves the piston (78) against and/or with the spring (80). The piston in its filling position is held back against the spring, to be released is wheelslip correction mode. ADVANTAGE - Spring-stored energy is used to drain fluid reservoir, from which loss between wheelslip correction episodes is prevented even when charging valve (96) is not fully closed.
