The music stand desk folds to form a housing round the stand post. Support elements (30a) of the desk (1) unfold/flat from hinged setting to form the music support. Pref. the stand post (2) slides into the housing (20) and comprise a head (4), to which the desk is hinged. The elements are fitted with a grip (26,28), fold at 90 deg. to one another to form a block-shaped housing, in which two elements lie in parallel.
