A combined system for reading both parking and credit cards has one stage that delivers a ticket (T) using a common drive roller (3) and a contact roller. The ticket is cut (G) from a stack and is taken away. When returning to remove the vehicle the credit card(K) is inserted through the top section and the ticket returned through the lower. The drive roller (3) is moved between two positions to read the ticket and card in sequence. The roller is driven by belt from a motor(5). ADVANTAGE - Allows one reader to be used for both ticket and card.
