The apparatus includes splicing cassettes (13) on a board (10). Holders (40) fix the cable, fibre bundles and individual fibres (36) in place. The board is rectangular with attachment bores (11). Comb strips (12) are arranged along the long sides of the board (10) to fixedly hold the individual fibres (36). A number of splicing cassettes (13) are arranged on the board parallel to these long sides. At a short side of the board is a parallel fastening strip (74) with cable clamps 915) for the cable (30, 33). On the board below the cassettes (13), recesses secure the holders (40) to additionally grip the cable (30, 33). ADVANTAGE - Simple, compact construction which can easily be built into any switch cabinet.
