The sets of servo driven rollers (A, B, C) are linked to a central processing control which monitors the loading on the separate servo motors. This provides information on the position of the loads. The monitoring circuits determine when the load has reached the end of each track and switches off the drive before the motors are damaged through overloading. The rollers are positioned in different tracks to move the loads along set paths, e.g. into the cargo hold of an aircraft. The rollers not in use are retracted out of contact with the loads. A simple interconnection control prevents more than one set of rollers operating at a time. USE/ADVANTAGE - For loading aircraft. Increased working life of rollers, improved reliability.
