PURPOSE:To rapidly remove lower leaves of cut flowers, etc., by putting a bundle of cut flowers, etc., a, material to be treated, in a basket-like storage container, rotating the container and spraying water pressurized by a pump on the cut flowers, etc., in the direction of the root along stems. CONSTITUTION:Water sucked up by a pump 1 is adjusted to given pressure by a pressure control valve 3 and sprayed as jetting water through a high- pressure hose 4 and a flow rate control valve 5 from a nozzle 6 to blow off lower leaves of the material 8 to be treated. In the operation, to eliminate remaining leaves and to shorten time required for the treatment, rotation of a motor 9 is transmitted through a belt 10 to a basket 11 to store the material to be treated. For cut flowers requiring dropping of lower leaves in a long range are transferred, the nozzle 6 is transferred in parallel along a sliding guide 12 together with the material to be treated.
