The transport container has a watertight inner container (10) for receiving stems of cut flowers, and an outer container comprising a manually removable hollow base (20) which surrounds the flowers. The inner container is placed into the outer container from upper surface of outer container. A hollow upper container (30) which extends from upper surface of base, surrounds the flowers over a part of their length. An independent claim is also included for base/sleeve/collar/inner container of transport container.
