MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR NONRESIDENT PROGRAM

PURPOSE: To improve the responsiveness of a system by executing an application program read in a main storage device once without performing an access to an outside storage device, or without having a buffer in a specific area. ;CONSTITUTION: At the time of executing a nonresident program, an identifier 31 stored in a management table 13 is referred to. Then, when the pertinent identifier 31 is present, the nonresident program held in the corresponding address of a corresponding main storage device 12 is executed as it is. On the other hand, when the pertinent identifier 31 is absent, a size 32 stored in the management table 13 is referred to. Then, an area whose size is sufficient for the storage of the nonresident program to be executed, and whose non- executing state at present is indicated by discrimination information 33 corresponding to it, is ensured.
