DETECTOR OF FAULT OF INSULATOR OF SUSPENSION TYPE LIGHTNING GUARD INSULATOR DEVICE HAVING AERIAL DISCHARGE GAP

摘要

PURPOSE: To discriminate the quality of discrete lightning guard insulators joined in a suspension type lightning guard insulator string by one detecting operation. ;CONSTITUTION: A contactor 3 for detection which is brought into contact with a cap metal fitting 32 of a suspension insulator 23 is provided at the fore end part of an insulating rod 1, while a contactor for short circuit which forms electric continuity between an external sealing electrode 39 of the suspension insulator 23 and an arc induction plate 43 of another suspension insulator 23 positioned below the electrode is provided.
