PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension-type lightning-protective insulator having a structure, which enables an insulator main body to be molded simply and a suspension-type lightning-protective insulator to be obtained easily, and a lightning-protective insulator device using the same. ;SOLUTION: In a suspension-type lightning-protective insulator which is equipped with a current limiting unit 5 where a lightning-protective element is housed and composed of a head part 1a having a cap 2 and a shed part 1b having a pin 3 in its center, when the current limiting unit is mounted on the shed part 1b of an insulator main body 1 of the suspension-type insulator, an attachment part of the current limiting unit 5 where the lightning-protective element is housed is inserted and fixed in a hole 6 bored in the shed part 1b. Further, a lightning-protective insulator device is formed by coupling a plurality of suspension-type lightning-protective insulators having the above-mentioned structure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
