PURPOSE: To provide the ferromagnetic metallic fine particles for magnetic recording media which prevent the deterioration of magnetic characteristics with lapse of time by oxidation, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: These ferromagnetic metallic particles are used for the coating type magnetic recording medium constituted by forming a magnetic layer consisting essentially of magnetic powder and binder on a nonmagnetic base and are formed by subjecting the surfaces of the metallic fine particles used for the magnetic layer to a Rongalite treatment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
