FLEXIBLE CONNECTION METHOD OF FINAL CONNECTION PART OF SUBMERGED BOX

PURPOSE:To facilitate submergence final connection work for a submerged tunnel and improve the quality of a connection part. CONSTITUTION:A connection clearance between the end surfaces 31 of established submerged boxes 11a, 12 in the final connection part facing each other is made in tapered shape. A connection block 13 in a wedge shape matching with that taper, on whose center part a flexible joint structure part 50 stays in one body, is inserted into the connection clearance 31 so as to be stuck by a water pressure. Thereafter, its inside is made a dry space and the connection work like the connection cables 34 and the placing of cast-in-place concrete 37 is carried out.
