INHIBITOR OF POLYMER SCALE DEPOSITION, POLYMERIZER CAPABLE OF PREVENTING POLYMER SCALE FROM DEPOSITING AND PRODUCTION OF POLYMER USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject inhibitor, containing a specific condensation product and capable of effectively preventing polymer scales from depositing even near the interface between a vapor-phase part and a liquid-phase part and providing high-quality polymers with extremely rare fish eye after molding. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective inhibitor, containing a condensation product of (A) an aromatic amine compound (e.g. p-phenylenediamine or 4- aminodiphenylamine) with (B) an aromatic hydroxy compound (e.g. phenol or α-naphthol) and useful for polymerizing ethylenic double bond-containing monomers. The condensation product of the components (A) with (B) is preferably obtained by reacting the component (A) with the component (B) in an amount of 0.5-10mol based on 1mol component (A) in the presence of a condensing catalyst such as α,α'-azobisisobutyronitrile in an organic solvent- based medium at ambient temperature to 200°C for 0.5-100hr. Furthermore, the inhibitor is preferably used by adding an alkali metallic salt or ammonium salt of a sulfonated substance prepared, from the condensation product to the condensation product for improving preventing effects on scales.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
