LAP JOINING DEVICE FOR BAND SHAPED HOOP MEMBER MADE OF METAL PLATE

PURPOSE: To make it possible to lap-join quickly the starting end of the next band shaped hoop member to the final end of the preceding band shaped hoop member, by spot welding. ;CONSTITUTION: A supporting member 2, for which a plurality of guide grooves 4a-4d, in which band shaped hoop members are fitted, are provided on the upper surface in such a manner that the guide grooves 4a-4d would extend in parallel, and a guide member 7, on which at least one guide groove 8, in which the band shaped hoop member is fitted, is provided on the upper surface, are arranged to be adjacent to each other. Top and bottom, a pair of electrodes for spot welding 16 are arranged at one end on a supporting member 2 side of the guide member 7, and in the meantime, at least one of the supporting member 2 and guide member 7 is constituted in such a manner that it would give reciprocating motions in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of respective guide grooves. In addition, at right and left both sides on the upper surface of one end of the guide member 7 on the support member 2 side, tilted surfaces 12 which tilt downward are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
