PURPOSE: To provide a device for interference measurement without self interference by providing a phase plate, which is divided into many parts with prescribed phase differences allowing its two-dimensional arrangement to be fixed at random, on a flat plane on which output light from a laser light source is developed. ;CONSTITUTION: A phase plate 5 is provided on a flat plane on which output light from a laser light source is developed, the random phase plate 5 is divided into many parts and each part is formed to have a prescribed phase difference. The device is provided with a means which is fixed for the two-dimensional arrangement at random and that condenses output light from the phase plate 5 to a single mode optical fiber for the selection. For example, the random phase plate 5 is provided on the glass plane or in the vicinity of the glass plane of the sealing cap 3 of a semiconductor laser or super luminescence or a cent diode.
