COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR CROSSLINKING ETHYLENIC POLYMER

PURPOSE: To provide the subject composition capable of preventing the scorching of ethylenic polymers, simultaneously improving the final crosslinking degrees of the polymers, liquid at the ordinary temperature, having a small vapor pressure and a small evaporation rate, and used for crosslinking the ethylenic polymers. ;CONSTITUTION: A composition for crosslinking ethylenic polymers comprises an organic peroxide as a crosslinking agent (e.g. dicumyl peroxide, t-butylcumyl peroxide) and a compound of the formula (R₁, R₂ are 1-4C alkyl) [e.g. 2,4-di(3- isopropylphenyl)-4-methyl-1-pentene] preferably in a weight ratio of 1:0.02 to 1:3, preferably 1:0.15 to 1:1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
