A method of treating cognitive deficiencies is described by administering a quinazoline derivative of the general formula IMAGE wherein A represents IMAGE IMAGE in which n is 1-10, P is a bond or (CH2)m in which m is 0-10, and M is =O, =S, =NR, =CRR', IMAGE novel compounds of the above are also described as well as methods of manufacture and pharmaceutical compositions.
